D Anderson Shipping Services offer various services in which have changed over the years into logistical solutions for supply chains. We handle shipping and transportation. We provide forward-thinking warehouse management, order fulfillment, inbound freight coordination, outbound, and delivery. Essentially, D Anderson Shipping Services handle every phase of supply chain management and keep the shipments running smoothly.

What do we do?

Our services can be divided into four categories, and we handle intermodal shipment. Intermodal shipping is using different transportation methods to fulfill a delivery contract.

Over the Road Transport

Over the road transport is typically within specific areas and shipment may contain mixed loads or one specific product as we pickup, and deliver your shipment from door to door.

Ocean Shipments

International shipping using ocean freight is conducted in full containers. Transit usually requires just about two weeks depending on the destination and customs clearance procedures. We arrange for all the delivery services including customs clearance, duties, and local delivery.

Digital Warehousing & Tracking

Today’s shipping companies globally depend on computerized management systems to track inventory, select slotting locations, maintain control, identify packing locations, and arrange products for loads. Every phase of digital warehousing depends on e-management systems, electronic logging devices, and scanners to keep real-time records. A shipping company must know the location of every item and shipment to make sure nothing is damaged or lost, and products are delivered on time. Our company manages in-house functions to fit the needs of our customers. Added services give extra value and customer service to ensure the customer gets their loads delivered on time. With today’s computer managed warehouse logistics, reports can be printed at a moment’s notice, and shipments can be tracked. We are working on building this structure within the next calendar year so that it can be seamless. We now currently offer tracking services and online booking.

Inbound Processes

All inbound products need to be handled quickly and maintained accurately. Mistakes in records of arrived products and shipments can create problems throughout the warehouse and challenge the customer. Accurate inbound receipts need to reflect lot numbers, manufacturing dates, serial numbers, expiration dates and shipment tracking number. Usually, a pre-delivery notification is sent ahead of a shipment. Receiving documents ahead of delivery reduces waste, and all entries can be recorded upon arrival. We ensure that this process is ran smoothly.

Warehouse Fulfillment

We are prepared to manage inventories, regulate the best use of space. Once the products are received and warehoused in their assigned areas, they can be quickly loaded into shipping vehicles that transport them to a customer’s location. If we need to hold packages or a shipment, we offer these services at an additional charge.

Outbound Processes

After products are staged, packing, checking and loading comes next. Products must be handled carefully to prevent damage. Quick and efficient loading is also necessary to make sure products arrive on time. Next comes delivery. Customers can be assured that products arrive on time and in good repair. D Anderson Shipping Services maintain all elements of the supply chain so customers will not suffer from incorrect order fulfillment, late deliveries, and higher costs.
